I think many people would think this is a better choice. I hear absolutely no difference in the lyrics except the country singers are more romantic rather than crude. But the content is exactly the same - drinking and casual sex - AND it's actually much clearer to hear and understand what they're singing about. I agree that no matter what our kids are listening to we need to talk about what they're hearing compared to what their Lord says. I'm at the point where my 13 yo rolls his eyes and says (I know you can hear the tone) "Mom, you just don't get it."
